Commonly asked Questions

 Do you take my insurance?

We are currently in network with Optum, Aetna, and Cigna.  We are in the process of credentialing with Anthem BCBS.  Please contact the office to verify if we take your insurance.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes both telehealth and in person appointments are available. For telehealth visits, you will receive a HIPAA compliant video link for the appointment. You must be present in the state of Virginia during telehealth visits.  Please be aware that driving is not allowed during a visit. For in person appointments, the office is located in Fairfax, VA.

Cash Pay Prices:

$300 for 1 hour intake

$150 for 30 minute follow ups with brief psychotherapy

Appointment Cancellations

We have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please do so at least 48 hours in advance, or you will be charged a no show/late cancel fee ($100). This is because we reserve your time slot and are unable to see others who need  care with a late cancellation.

Do I have to be on medication or do you offer therapy?

Unfortunately, services are for medication management and brief psychotherapy. If you are looking for more intensive therapy we can refer you to therapists in the area that can meet your needs.

What about controlled substances?

We do prescribed controlled substances for patients who need these medications.  For those prescribed controlled substances, you must commit to in person visits 1x/year per the DEA Regulations. Please contact the office for further questions regarding ADHD medications or other controlled substances.

How often will I need to be seen?

Just like every other part of a personalized approach to psychiatry, visit frequency really depends on you and your needs. Most patients are seen bi-weekly or monthly for the first few months to ensure you are not experiencing side effects and to titrate dosages.   We may discuss more frequent visits if you prefer to be seen more regularly or during periods of time when you are struggling and need additional support.  Once you are doing well, we can customize frequency. Some prefer to continue with bi-weekly or monthly visits while others want to space visits every three months.

What if I have an emergency outside of business hours?

I do not work outside of business hours, and there is no on-call service. I will return your inquiry within 48 business hours. You can also reschedule your appointment for a sooner availability on the Intake Q/Grow or Alma booking system. If there is a potential of any physical danger to you or others, you will call 911 immediately or go to the closest emergency room/Crisis Center. Note that I do not have admitting privileges, nor am affiliated with or on staff at any hospital. Should I deem more intensive services are needed, I will do the best to ensure safety and obtain the appropriate level of care.
